Having established a strong air bridge between Turkey and the TRNC, Turkish Airlines (THY) plans to carry 2.1 million Cypriot passengers to Cyprus by the end of the year, together with its subsidiary AJet.
Having established a strong air bridge between Turkey and the TRNC, Turkish Airlines (THY) serves its passengers with 152 weekly flights operated by its subsidiary Ajet. Together with its subsidiary AJet, Turkish Airlines (THY) carried 1.775 million passengers last year and plans to carry 2.1 million Cypriot passengers to Cyprus by the end of 2025, in line with its target. The flag carrier airline, which attaches great importance to the development of tourism in the TRNC and is working in this direction, provides advantageous flight tickets to its agencies throughout the year for use as part of cultural tours. The national airline, which has implemented cultural tour packages as of 2024 with the aim of increasing cultural tourism-focused travel between Turkey and the TRNC and attracting the attention of travel lovers who have the potential to come to the region from all over the world, aims to increase this number to 10,000 passengers in 2025, while it carried 4,000 passengers within the scope of the cultural tour project last year.
