Representative migration and cultural events were held at the 4th Yörük Türkmen Festival in Antalya.

The Yörüks, who made a symbolic migration on camels and horses with a band and drums and zurna at the 4th International Yörük Türkmen Festival held in Antalya this year, attracted attention with their local costumes.

The '4th International Yörük Türkmen Festival' organized by the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality began with the laying of a wreath at the Atatürk Monument in Cumhuriyet Square, the traditional migration prayer and the Yörük migration. Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Metropolitan Mayor Muhittin Böcek and CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır also attended the ceremony. Following the laying of the wreath and the migration prayer, Yörük associations and those from the Turkic Republics made a symbolic Yörük migration. The Yörüks, who made their representative migration on camels and horses with a band and drums and zurna, attracted attention with their local costumes. Mayor Muhittin Böcek greeted the participants in the procession that ended in front of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality building in Karaalioğlu Park. Mayor Böcek, who provided information about the event, said, "We made our Yörük migration with 85 Yörük -Turkmen associations from Türkiye and 1000 participants from abroad. I would like to thank my Yörük brothers who supported us. We are organizing such a festival to pass on the traditions and customs of our Yörük brothers to future generations. We will meet with our people with our beautiful events for 3 days."
