The first day of the 4th International Antalya Yörük Türkmen Festival was filled with excitement

Organized by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the 4th International Antalya Yoruk Turkmen Festival began with colorful events at Döşemealtı Düzlerçamı Karaman Picnic Area following the Yoruk migration that took place in the morning.

Starting with the symbolic Yoruk migration between Cumhuriyet Square and Karaalioğlu Park, the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality 4th International Antalya Yoruk Turkmen Festival began with exciting events. The first day of excitement continued with colorful shows at Döşemealtı Düzlerçamı Karaman Picnic Area.

Yörük Culture is Kept Alive

In the festival where all aspects of Yoruk culture were introduced, Yoruk associations introduced traditional handicrafts such as local costumes, carpet and rug weaving, and wool spinning in the tents set up. Yoruks also offered their traditional dishes to visitors. The tents of the guest countries attracted great attention. Hosting their guests in their country tents with their traditional costumes, the guest countries also offered their own dishes to visitors. The stands and food and beverage units within the festival area have also started to provide service.

Colorful Stage Shows

On the first day of the festival, music and dances, which are an inseparable part of the Yörük Turkmen culture, also attracted great attention. Guest countries staged their folk dance shows on the event stage set up in the area. Ankara Keçiören Municipality Seymenler Team show, Uzbekistan – Öz’beğim Association, Kazakhstan Folk Dance show, Cyprus Turkish Culture Association Antalya Branch, Antalya Uyghur Association Folk shows were highly appreciated.
