Hilton will open its first hotel in Türkiye with its premium economy brand in Van.

Hilton's premium economy brand Spark by Hilton is preparing to open its first hotel in Turkey in Van. The 60-room Spark by Hilton Van City Centre will be the city's first internationally branded hotel.

Franchise agreement signed

Hilton announced that a franchise agreement has been signed with the Gültepe family for Spark by Hilton Van City Centre, the first hotel of its premium economy brand Spark by Hilton in Turkey. This development is an important step as Hilton aims to launch three new brands in Turkey this year and increase its current portfolio of 84 hotels by more than 50%.

Spark by Hilton Van City Centre, planned to open in the fall of 2025, will offer service with 60 rooms and a rooftop restaurant. The hotel will be located on the city's main boulevard and will be the first internationally branded hotel in Van.

Mike Collini, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, said:

We aim to continue our growth in Turkey with 44 new hotels, including the launches of the Canopy by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton brands.”

With a population of approximately 1.2 million and a rich cultural heritage, Van is a city that stands out with its natural beauty. The city, which hosts unique spots such as Lake Van and Muradiye Waterfall, is also easily accessible thanks to Van Ferit Melen Airport, which is only 8 km away from the city center.

Spark by Hilton Van City Center will offer its guests the comfort they need in a friendly atmosphere while also reflecting the brand's unique design approach. The hotel's prominent features include spacious rooms equipped with simple and modern furniture, open wardrobes, multi-purpose work areas and bathrooms equipped with additive-free products, multi-purpose common areas with comfortable seating areas that offer the opportunity to socialize or work, a Hydration Cart offering free water, soda and fresh fruit, a 24-hour market where food, beverages and basic needs can be found 24 hours a day, colorful touches, original exterior designs and simple but inspiring interior architecture completed with artistic details.

Spark by Hilton not only offers quality accommodation at affordable prices for its guests; it also offers a low-cost and conversion-friendly model for investors. Bringing a fresh perspective to the premium economy segment, the brand aims for a consistent look and experience in every hotel.

Spark by Hilton will be just one of the brands that will open in Turkey in 2025. Hilton’s Turkey portfolio will also be joined by Canopy by Hilton and Tapestry Collection by Hilton brands in the same year. Meanwhile, Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus hotel is also undergoing a comprehensive renovation process until the end of the year.
