More than 53 thousand tourists visited Pamukkale during the holiday

Pamukkale, one of Türkiye's most important tourism destinations, hosted 53 thousand 363 tourists during the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Pamukkale, which stands out in both nature and culture tourism with its white travertines, thermal water and the ancient city of Hierapolis, exceeded 10 thousand daily entries during the holiday.

53 thousand 363 tourists visited the region during the holiday.

Tourists walking on the travertines enjoyed the thermal water here. Visitors to the region, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, visited the ancient theater, temple and historical tombs and took souvenir photos.

714 thousand 677 local and foreign guests visited the site between January 1 and May 31.

Gazi Murat Şen, Vice President of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation, said that the daily number of visitors could vary between 15 and 20 thousand during the summer season and that the necessary infrastructure was ready for this density.

Şen stated that the number of foreign guests increased by approximately 15 percent in the first 5 months and that they aim to exceed the number of tourists this year, which was 2 million 500 thousand last year.
