GlobeMeets B2B Networking Event Becomes Global Tourism's Meeting Point
16.09.2025

The third GlobeMeets B2B Networking Event, one of Turkey's and the region's most prestigious B2B gatherings, concluded at Rixos Tersane Istanbul with strong participation and high interest.

The event's opening ceremony was attended by former Minister of Transport and Infrastructure and current Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Public Works, Zoning, Transportation, and Tourism Commission Adil Karaismailoğlu; Istanbul Deputy Governor Mehmet Sülün; TÜRSAB President Firuz Bağlıkaya; İGA Trade Deputy General Manager Server Aydın; Shipyard Management Director Çetin Pehlivan; consuls general and consuls from numerous countries; presidents and executives of leading tourism NGOs; and members of the national and international press.

This strong protocol demonstrated that GlobeMeets is not only a sectoral gathering but also a global meeting point for diplomacy, trade, and tourism. In its third year, GlobeMeets brought together global players in the tourism industry. Over 10,000 meetings, both scheduled and walk-in, took place over two days.

GlobeMeets was attended by over 700 buyer agencies from Istanbul, over 250 hosted buyers from 40 Turkish cities, international buyer agencies from 20 different countries, DMCs operating in 60 countries, tourism offices from 11 countries, nearly 20 airlines, cruise lines, insurance companies, marketplace partners, and select hotels and outlet center partners from both Turkey and abroad.

Over 10,000 meetings, both scheduled and walk-in, took place over the two days. This intense interaction made GlobeMeets one of the leading B2B events not only in Turkey but also globally.

GlobeMeets Founder Hüseyin Kurt commented on the event:

“This event began with a dream, grew with a vision, and was prepared over 10 months with the meticulous care of a jeweler. Today, GlobeMeets is one of the world's most powerful global meeting centers for tourism, travel, and business trips. GlobeMeets will never become a trade fair; it will maintain its boutique structure and remain a unique networking platform. In 2026, the event will once again meet the industry at Rixos Shipyard on September 10–11.”
