25.06.2025
Istanbul Airport operator İGA announced that Canadian airline Air Transat will begin Toronto-Istanbul flights on December 6.
According to a statement from İGA, Canada's second largest airline is planned to operate direct flights to Istanbul Airport twice a week.
Since Canadian citizens can travel to Türkiye without a visa, tourism between the two countries is expected to improve with the start of the flights.
The Canadian-based airline operates flights to a total of 62 destinations in 29 countries, primarily in Europe, the Caribbean, Central America and the USA, with its fleet of 44 modern aircraft.
