Bodrum welcomed 948,000 tourists by air and sea in 9 months. As winter flights from Germany reopened, hotel occupancy rates reached 85 percent in October. Foreign tourists are enjoying the sea and sun.
Bodrum Hoteliers Association President Ömer Faruk Dengiz stated that 948,000 tourists arrived in Bodrum, Muğla's world-famous tourist district, by air and sea in 9 months. He said, "Direct flights from Germany to Bodrum have been reopened throughout the winter. There will be flights from the UK to Bodrum during the winter season, as there were last year. This is an advantage for us; we will see occasional foreign tourists throughout the winter."
Tourism activity continues in Bodrum, a major global tourism destination. In this context, the occupancy rate in hotels open in October reached 85 percent during the "yellow summer" period between September 15 and October 15. Temperatures in the city have occasionally reached 28 degrees Celsius. Local and international tourists, taking advantage of the warm and sunny weather, enjoyed a dip in the sea. Meanwhile, 948,000 foreign tourists arrived in Bodrum by air and sea in the first nine months.

Bodrum Hoteliers Association President Ömer Faruk Dengiz stated that they will continue to see tourists through international flights during the winter season. He said, "The yellow summer, which we call Bodrum's best season between September 15th and October 15th, is ending in the coming weeks. We had a busy season. Although there was a decrease of 4.9% over the first nine months compared to last year, there were occasional occupancy rates. We will end the season in the best possible way. We can describe it as the destination with the least losses in the region. In the first nine months, Bodrum saw a total of 948,000 foreign tourists, including 827,000 by air and 121,000 by cruise ship. Direct flights from Germany to Bodrum were opened during the winter. As last year, there will be flights from the UK to Bodrum during the winter season. This is an advantage for us; we will see occasional foreign tourists throughout the winter." Bodrum Hoteliers Association Vice President Alişir Şahin stated that hotel prices start at 3,000 lira per person on a bed and breakfast basis. He said, "The weather in Bodrum looks sunny and pleasant in October. The Bodrum season started at the end of March. During this period, we mostly host middle-aged and older guests. Hotels tend to be more affordable during this time. Our hotels, which are open until the end of October, have an occupancy rate of 80-85%. Bodrum appeals to all segments of society. Therefore, prices start at 3,000 lira for bed and breakfast, and 5,000 lira for all-inclusive rooms." Vahap Özkan, President of the Kumbahçe Boat Owners' Cooperative, stated that 1.5 million local and foreign tourists took boat tours. He said, "Our industry has been productive this year. We've carried approximately 1.5 million local and foreign tourists. Our boat tour price is 850 lira, including food. We're visiting Karaada, Meteor, Orak, Aquarium, Poyraz, and Tavşan Bays in Bodrum. Tourists love our bays. It's been a good season for us. Our tours start at 11:00 am and end at 6:00 pm. Tourists swim in the sea and take photos of the bays. Many tourists, after taking the tour, said they'd return next year. Motor yachts were popular this year. Our goal is to attract tourists to Bodrum."
