Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz visited the Plant and Seedling Production Facility, located on an 8,550-square-meter site in the Atatürk neighborhood. Mayor Kocagöz inspected the facility's services on-site and said, "We grow both the trees and the seedlings ourselves. We don't even buy 1 lira worth of trees or 1 lira worth of seedlings from outside our municipality. Kepez is a productive municipality."
The Kepez Municipality greens the district with its own plants and saplings. Located on an 8,550-square-meter site in the Atatürk neighborhood, the Plant and Seedling Production Facility adorns Kepez's parks and streets with colorful flowers and saplings. Kepez Mayor Mesut Kocagöz visited the municipality's Plant and Seedling Production Facility, which produces its own greenery and offers affordable solutions to residents' landscaping needs. Mayor Kocagöz, who gathered with his staff for lunch, said, “I am very happy to be with my teammates.” He noted that the plant production at the facility had increased from 102 to 220. He said, “This success was made possible by your efforts. We always say that change and transformation are beginning in Kepez. This facility is the most concrete example of this. We will demonstrate an exemplary understanding of municipal governance in Turkey.”
A Facility That Produces Its Own Needs
Emphasizing that the municipality does not purchase any saplings or seedlings from outside, Mayor Kocagöz said, “We produce both the trees and the seedlings ourselves. We don't even buy 1 lira worth of trees or 1 lira worth of seedlings from outside for our municipality. Kepez is a municipality that produces.” Mayor Kocagöz emphasized that the facility's sentimental value is very important to him, recalling that he was involved in the facility's establishment in 2014, emphasizing that the facility holds a special spiritual significance for him. Mayor Kocagöz said, "Our goal is to elevate Kepez to a point where it can be seen as an exemplary landscape destination not only in Antalya but throughout Turkey. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my colleagues who contributed to this success. I hope our people will be happy, too."
