26.05.2025
The vehicle, which can be used as a caravan on land and a yacht on water, produced in the Merzifon district of Amasya, is in demand from abroad.
In 2020, İlhan and İsmail Yaylacı brothers in Merzifon developed a vehicle that can be used both on land and in water within the framework of the "Floating Caravan Project".
Yat Car can be 50 percent caravan and 50 percent yacht, and can be pulled to the top of the mountain and camped when desired, or launched into the water and served as a yacht if desired.
In addition to being a towing caravan, Yat Car, which can move with its own gasoline and electric engine options in the sea, can be controlled from the engine or from the rudder inside the yacht.
The "Floating caravan" was exhibited at the fair organized by Proaktif Fuarcılık in Samsun, where camping, caravan, nature sports, prefabricated house, tiny house and tourism equipment were introduced.
ylacı stated that they made their first trials in 2022 and started mass production at the end of 2023 after they were successful, and said, "We started mass production after obtaining international permits. There are these models in Asian countries. We said, 'Why not in Türkiye?' We drew the projects, produced them, and tested them. The product is very beautiful in this respect. Free life, both on land and at sea. It is a product with a mooring log certificate." Yaylacı, who explained that the R&D phase of the vehicle took 2 years and the international test permits and approvals took about 1.5 years, said, "It was a bit painful because it was a product made for the first time. 'Why is there a wheel under the boat?' They ask. 'Show an example of this' in order to get permission. Normally, it is a class D boat. 2-3 countries in the world produce these products." Yaylacı stated that they focused on production after obtaining the patent and international permits and said, "It provides people with an unlimited life. We have been mass producing for 1.5 years. We currently produce between 10-12 units annually. We are in the process of expanding the factory due to foreign orders. We are seeing a lot of demand from Germany." Stating that they produce cheaper than their competitors, Yaylacı said, "We are also ambitious in terms of durability. Since everything in the world market is based on price, we aim to expand the factory in order to keep up with the orders. We are constantly improving the product."
Yaylacı stated that they plan to produce between 100-150 units annually starting from next year and said, "This is a product that we currently produce in an area of approximately 600 square meters. We plan to expand the area next year and establish a system on an area of 2-3 thousand square meters in order to keep up with the orders without compromising on quality with the belt system. The places where the most orders are placed are Canada and America."
Stating that their production is in line with European standards and that they produce a durable product, Yaylacı noted the following:
"A product that will not break with minor impacts or hitting rocks. There are systems that will first ensure human safety. A fire system is installed. There are bilge pumps (pumps used to drain water and oil collected in the boat). Let's say you puncture it, it automatically activates. There is a 20-centimeter foam called double wall covered with polyurethane foam at the bottom. Even if it breaks, water does not get inside. We prioritize life safety, then people's enjoyment and pleasure. There is a stove, sink, toilet, outdoor shower, indoor shower, heater, solar panel and external charging system, and a sound system, which are all needed in a caravan. The small one is 8 square meters, and the large one is 9.5 square meters. The price of the large model including VAT is 800 thousand liras, and the sports model is 700 thousand liras. We are currently offering it at half the price of all the models produced in the world market."
